Greetings Prophets and Ladies.
I would like to thank those May cooks, who ventured into the world of the unknown
by volunteering to cook for what could be from 20 people, to no one but the servers.
Our 1st Friday (always a challenge since we're competing with Hadi's 1st Fridays),
was again undertaken by our friends and guests Tom & Trish Keith and their famous hand
made thin crust pizzas. Another fantastic success. THANK YOU TOM & TRISH and to all
who came and enjoyed. Second Friday was our (soon to be famous) fish dinner cooked by our
own prophet Rick Ennis. Wow, he's found the secret and it tastes great. Thanks Rick. Third
Friday was hosted by my own "Lady Debbie" who provided a delicious spaghetti
dinner. Those who missed it, missed out on a great dinner. Fourth Friday, Rick Ennis
showed his cooking prowess again by out doing himself with another great steak and shrimp
night.
My most sincere thanks to all of the kitchen volunteers who dedicate their time for
our Grotto. And those wonderful desserts that you ladies have been donating so graciously
have been marvelous. Again a special thanks to Bill & Shirley Lockard who have stepped
up to oversee the kitchen. Thanks to them and the input of several of our ladies, we are
well on our way to having a menu set for two months out. Now that will totally eliminate
any excuses for me not getting this newsletter out in a timely manner.
My thanks to past monarch Scott Harris for taking the position of Captain of the Guard for
the duration of 2011. Bob Giolitto has been doing a great job in keeping the back hall
rented and fixing things up around the building. Oh, and the roof is fixed too. We've also
been enjoying seeing "Little Mary" around lately too. I'm still looking for a
Marshall. Any suggestions or volunteers?
Please come in and support your Grotto. We've had an outside group hold a couple of
Tuesday meetings here which has been a great help, but it's your Grotto folks.
Yours in the Faith,
Roger A. Fuchs, Monarch 2011
