Dear Brothers and sisters of the No-Ruz
Grotto,
Well, this is my final message
to ya'll. I want to thank those of you who have stayed loyal to No-Ruz and continued to
keep us on your Friday night dinner location roster. I'd also like to thank those of you
who came down specifically in support of Debbie and myself.
I really want to thank those non-members who have come down and
cooked and supported the Grotto ... like Tom and Trish Keith, who cooked on numerous
occasions for us. They make FANTASTIC homemade pizza by-the-way, and Tom "TC"
Coran, who traveled from Indy to cook for us. Tom Land, Rick Ennis, Debbie Russell, Pam
Stephens, Ben & Karen P., Bill Davis, Mary Walling, and Lanny Decker.
My appreciation to the line officers and trustees who served in
2011, We kept the place open anyway. Special thanks go out to Bill and Shirley Lockard,
for without their huge support, nothing would have happened this year. At least not on
time. Seriously ... Bill and Shirley both deserve a big thank you from ALL of our members
for all of the work they do, in front and behind the scenes.
Bob Giollitto did a remarkable job bringing in much needed income through the back hall
rentals. Give him a pat on the back too. Ben and Karen, thanks for taking care of our web
site and newsletters. Michele Rohrer, thanks for the labels and work you did on the
membership.
Mary Ann, thanks for all of the folding, stuffing, taping and
mailing of the newsletter. Thanks to Scott Harris, PM and Ron Davis, with Bob Giolitto,
did much to keep our equipment and building operational. Thanks to Bill Davis, PM for
taking care of the Enchanted Lantern program and donating a microwave, Thank you to Jim
Giolitto, PM for overseeing the Doctor of Smiles and to Will Brenner for his work on the
wiring, Bob Giolitto for many donated items, including a freezer for our beer mugs.
Last but far from least, I want to extend my very sincere thanks
to my lady Debbie Russell, who supported me for the entire year. Now then, I know darn
good and well that I have forgotten someone so I would like to thank you very
much also.
For those of you who did not make it to the Grotto this year ...
that's okay. I know there are some issues that still need to be addressed. If you don't
come to the meetings and voice your opinions, it will always be "the way we've always
done it". And to the new leadership ... you may want to come up with another method
of manning your bar other than using the Monarch. I've talked to a couple of really good
men of officer material that flat out said they didn't have time to be the head bartender
of any organization. Just a thought. May 2012 bring all of you the greatest prosperity and
happiness you have ever witnessed.
God bless you all..
Roger A. Fuchs, Monarch 2011
