Greetings Prophets and Ladies,
I am honored to be addressing you as your new Monarch. First off, I want to thank Bob
Giolitto for setting up the back hall for the installation. I would also like to thank
Jean Rickard and all the others for putting on the installation reception. It was a good
time and all the help is truly and deeply appreciated.
Congratulations to the newly elected/installed officers. Many thanks go to Jim Giolitto
for his years of service as Treasurer, and also to Lanny Decker for his past and ongoing
service as Secretary. Bill Lockard deserves high praise for his service as unofficial
Treasurer helping Jim out last year, and for taking the Treasurer position this year.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to our fraternity. I am also very thankful
for Bill and Shirley Lockard, Mary Walling, and Pam Stephens for all of their work with
the kitchen. Thanks also to all of the Auxiliary ladies for their hard work and
dedication. I truly appreciate the time and effort spent by everyone that helps out. Thank
you.
I am planning and hoping for a great year. There have been some issues in the past, but I
am confident that those issues are behind us or are being resolved. This will be a great
year as long as we keep working to make it so. There is a breakfast coming up on February
4th, as well as one on March 31st. Cinnamon rolls are available for order through the end
of January, and can be picked up at the breakfast in February. Call the Grotto and leave a
message if you are interested in ordering some. They are delicious. St. Patricks Day
is Saturday, March 17th, and I have a party in the works for that night, more details to
follow. The annual Easter kids party put on by our Auxiliary will be on Saturday,
April 7th, from Noon to 2:00. Other events are in the works, and I would love input for
more, so let me know what your ideas are. The No-Ruz websites calendar will be
updated as soon as events come up, as I understand the newsletter cannot always be up to
date when it goes out
stuff happens.
Its going to be a good year for No-Ruz. I hope to see some new members down here
this year, and hopefully some of you existing members will come down and join us for
dinner, a drink, or just to hang out and partake in good fellowship. If anyone has
questions, concerns, comments, or news regarding the Grotto or Freemasonry, please call
the Grotto, leave a message, send an email, or put it in the box I have set up in the bar.
I appreciate any suggestions for anything from anyone. The best place to make your voice
heard is at a stated meeting. Remember the second Tuesday of the month. Anyway, lets
have a good year and I hope to see everyone down at the Grotto.
Fraternally,
William R. Brenner
